Rendering

What is: ____?

Standard / Rendered / Illustrated?

This is what I define for my commissions. A simple 3-tier like system.
Standard (-)
Just the basics.
This is the default when commissioning without specifying anything else.
Rendered (+)
Just a little extra!
Spectacular (++)
Only for those who seriously enjoy art, and have the patience.
If you don't notice the difference, stick to Standard.
* Illustration = Spectacular rendering, with background.
This really boils down to two requisites.
  1. Personal Preference.
  2. Budget.
Helpful Tips
Ask yourself this when ordering...
Character Complexity: Can you describe this character in one reasonable sentence?
Props: How detailed are the items (clothes, accessories, etc), and how precise do they need to be? I have a full guide on Character Complexity: here!
If you can be reasonable and honest with yourself, provide me a budget and I will work with it.
If you only want something basic
(nothing wrong with basic) that's totally okay too.

Backgrounds

Default background are always applied, unless otherwise stated.

Colors are chosen on the fly, again, unless otherwise stated or requested.

Ambiant backgrounds (or foregrounds) may be requested. Addtional fees may apply.

Custom background, like scenery may also be requested, and require an additional fee.

Custom background fees vary depending on complexity.

Complexity

What is: ____?

A description here.

This is a quick little overview of my own personal "complexity guide." Please note that complexity includes little "picky" things. It's explained below.

A = Simplicity, E = Complexity.

The more the scale slides over to (E) the character design becomes more complex.

Total Word count: (Less than ~300)

Generally a good rule of thumb is, be honest with your own design.

Consider how much time it would take to make your character.

Can you also describe your OC design in two sentences or less?

The more specific fur patterns, markings are, the more it counts as complex.

Mandatory accessories, also complex.

Gradients or too many colors? Complex.

Tiny details such as realism, or a mandatory color (hex code) required? Complex.

Attention to details = time = complexity.

Note: Complexity in this context IS interchangeable with being "picky."

There is nothing wrong with being picky about your OC design at all.

Be respectful and kind when ordering, and we will be happy to work with you.

Time

What is: ____?

A description here.

Time: Turn-around-time, ETA, "When will it be done?"

How full is my queue?
When did you order?
How complex is your order?
Do I resonate with your idea?

Those are some examples of what factors into my commission times.

It's not easy to predict.

I try to warn people up front, if you are impatient, please look eslewhere.

For those who don't mind waiting, I always try to make myself avalible.

WIPs and Edits

What is: ____?

A description here.

I have a small section about this in my TOS.

Did you request WIPs up front?
Yes? Yes.
No? No.

How many edits do I allow?

Depending on how many I need to do, it depends on how much you're open to paying for each correction.

This is why it's very important to give me all the information up front, to avoid possible misinterptitations later on.
